2027 Oyo governorship hopeful and founder of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, on his 58th birthday, describing him as the engineer and real architect of modern Oyo State.
In a goodwill message made available to the press on Wednesday, Adeoye said the governor’s birthday goes beyond personal celebration, noting that it represents a reflection on years of impactful leadership, vision, and commitment to the development of Oyo State.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s six years in office have been defined by purposeful governance, courage in decision-making, and dedication to the welfare of the people, despite prevailing economic and social challenges.
Adeoye, who is also a gubernatorial aspirant, acknowledged the responsibilities and sacrifices associated with leading a state, describing leadership at that level as demanding courage, patience, humility, and a strong will to serve the common good.
He noted that Governor Makinde has consistently demonstrated qualities that unite and transform the five zones of the state, stressing that his administration has moved beyond rhetoric to implement policies and projects with tangible impact across communities.
“From investments in education and healthcare to agriculture, security, youth empowerment, and major infrastructure such as the Ibadan Circular Road, the Makinde administration has laid foundations that will shape the destiny of generations to come,” Adeoye stated.
Drawing from his experience working with vulnerable communities through civil society initiatives, Adeoye emphasized the importance of people-centred governance and responsive leadership. He commended the growing collaboration between government, non-governmental organisations, and the private sector, describing such partnerships as critical to addressing unemployment, poverty, education, healthcare delivery, and community security.
Adeoye added that the governor’s birthday offers an opportunity for broader reflection on leadership, stressing that governance is ultimately about improving the lives of the people and ensuring inclusive development across all communities of the state.
He reaffirmed his belief in continuity, innovation, and inclusive leadership, noting that progress in Oyo State must transcend political differences and personal ambitions.
“Our shared goal remains an Oyo State that works for everyone, where development reaches every community, from Oorelope Local Government to Ido Local Government and beyond,” he said.
