In a bold move to boost educational development in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Philips Olasupo also known as Kasupo, has awarded scholarships to seven indigent students to City Polytechnic Abuja, through his philanthropic initiative, the Kasupo Foundation.
The scholarship presentation took place during the investiture of patrons and inauguration of the new executive and legislative members of the Akinyele Youth Forum (AYF). The ceremony was held at the Eledua Multipurpose Hall in Ibadan on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Kasupo, represented at the event by Hon. Fatoki Lawrence, commended the AYF for its consistent drive toward youth empowerment, educational support, and community development. He described the forum as a shining example of grassroots leadership and expressed confidence in the transformative power of investing in the education of young people.
“We are deeply inspired by the unwavering commitment of the Akinyele Youth Forum to youth development,” said Kasupo in a message delivered by his representative. “This scholarship program is part of our effort to complement the impressive initiatives of the forum and ensure that no bright mind is left behind due to financial constraints.”
The Akinyele Youth Forum, under the leadership of outgoing President Comrade Paul Olagoke, has been at the forefront of initiatives promoting education, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement within the local government.
