Ido APM Ward 7 Stakeholders Deny Holding Councillorship Primary, Await State Guidelines

Stakeholders of Ward 7 in the Ido Local Government Area chapter of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) have refuted reports alleging that the ward has conducted a primary election or adopted a consensus candidate for the councillorship position.
The stakeholders maintained that no primary election or consensus arrangement has taken place, describing the reports as false and misleading.

According to them, the ward leadership, executives and stakeholders are still awaiting official guidelines from the APM State Secretariat before commencing the process for the selection of the party’s councillorship candidate.
They stressed that any information suggesting that a candidate has emerged through either a primary election or consensus did not emanate from the ward leadership and should be disregarded by party members and the general public.
The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s constitution and internal democratic processes, assuring members that all procedures would be conducted in line with directives from the state leadership.
They also appealed to party faithful to remain calm, united and law-abiding while awaiting the release of the official guidelines from the APM State Secretariat, expressing confidence that the process would be transparent and credible.
