FG Digital Training: Oyo Youth Agency Boss, Adebowale Calls For Youth Involvement In Nation Building

Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, the Chairman of Oyo State Agency for Youths Development in attendance and part of the panelists on the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) as the Federal government under the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy led by the Honorable Minister, Dr. Bosun Tijani, trains 3,500 Oyo State residents.

The State Impact Summit held on Saturday was to mark the closing of the cohort 2 phase of the program. 3MTT is an initiative of the federal government where Nigerians, most especially residents of Oyo State, were trained in various IT skills.

The summit showcased the impact of 3MTT on young Nigerians, many participants (we refer to them as fellows) have gotten technical jobs via this program. With some winning computer devices.

While delivering his goodwill message at the event, Hon. Adebowale Falana emphasized the vital role of young people in shaping Nigeria’s future. He stressed that their talents and innovative spirit are crucial to driving national progress.

The state government, under the leadership of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE, has fully keyed into this as over 25,000 residents trained on digital skills, IT, Vocational Training Skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and others.

“Right now, over 100 In-school Youth will be certified in digital training skills, it’s a 2-day crucial training anchored by Oyo State Agency for Youths Development through the approval of the State government. Earlier in October this year, Over 3,000 Youths in Pacesetter State were trained in Web Development, digital marketing, Graphics design, Amazon Kindle Publishing, and leveraging artificial Intelligence, where participants were enthusiastic and amazed with the right tools as well as building websites without coding. he said.

Falana further reiterated that in Oyo State series of training has been held centered on Youth development, creativity, and innovation to reduce unemployment drastically while the state government has budgeted heavily for the youth to triumph.

“The youth are the backbone of our nation, and we must invest in their growth and development, initiatives like this event are crucial in unlocking the potential of our young people and positioning them for success in various industries, technological innovation, and others.

He, however, expressed commitment to the Federal government to partner with the Oyo State government to support the thriving youth community in Nigeria at large.

In his remarks, the honorable Minister for Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, reiterated that the initiative is in keeping with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to equip 3 million Nigerians with the skills needed to participate in the digital economy and to provide 1 million technical jobs by 2027.

“Participants will be enrolled under the 1 million technical job to reduce the rate of unemployment in the country drastically, as knowledge of IT skills will equip them above the poverty level”. Bosun added

He assured adequate partnership with the Oyo State government through the Agency for Youth Development while lauding His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde on a series of activities mainly centered on unlocking the potential of youth development.
