Anti Corruption Bill: Oyo is setting the Pace

The Chairman House Committee on Works and Transport, Hon. Olamide Akinajo has reaffirmed the effort of state new administration in setting pace for other states.

Hon. Akinajo made the statement during the opening ceremony of Oyo state Legislative Retreat holding at Ilaji Resource Center, Ona – Ara, Ibadan.

The four days retreat is on 3 crucial bills before the Assembly, the bills which included Investment Promotion Agency Bill 2019, Anti Corruption Agency Bill 2019 and Open Rearing and Grazing Regulation Bill 2019 are to he treated by resource persons. Akinajo said if the Bills is passed to law, it will fight corruption in the state and reshaped the social economic and peaceful coexistence of Oyo residence.

In his reaction at the opening ceremony, speaker of the house, Hon. Debo Ogundoyin, said the Open Rearing and Grazing regulation Bill is intended to regulate the activities of herdsmen and farmers in the state to avoid clashes, he further explained that the Assembly will embarked on public hearing on the bill to jerk the way forward.
