Agboworin Organises ICT Training For Constituents, Distributes Laptops, Cash To Beneficiaries
The lawmaker representing Ibadan Northeast and Southeast federal constituency, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has organized training in Information and Communications Technology for constituency youths as part of his youth empowerment program.
The ICT training and empowerment program organized by Hon. Agboworin was in partnership with
National Productivity Center ( NPC) and MAC-CHIRS COMPUTERS LTD.
The youths were trained in desktop applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, among others.
Speaking at the Youths ICT Training and Empowerment program, the lawmaker, Hon. Agboworin urged the youths to pay serious attention to the training, saying ICT had emerged as a relevant tool for daily transactions in virtually all the sectors of the economy.
” I am fully aware that ICT gives unprecedented opportunities to effectively fight against poverty. That is part of the reasons I organized this ICT empowerment program for my constituents.
” It is an established fact that ICT can support the poor in business development, making it easier to access information and new markets.
” To those who are not among the beneficiaries of this ICT program today, rest assured that, in no distant time, we will conduct another phase of the ICT empowerment program,.” Agboworin said.
Agboworin, a second-term federal lawmaker in Oyo state in recent has been regarded as the outstanding national assembly lawmaker from Oyo state. He has championed several physical projects to his constituency as well and continuously empowering his people in Ibadan Northeast and Southeast constituency
