Badmus Soliu Adebare, one of the sons of the Oyo All Progressives Congress leader Abu Gbadamosi has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for Iseyin/Itwaiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency.
In the result declared by the returning officer, Kunle Adesiyan, Adebare polled 124 votes to defeat Fatai Salam Adetunji who scored 31 votes, John Olaleru Adebayo who scored six votes, Rasheed Wahab Ajulo who scored four votes, Ademola Kareem who scored three votes and Adelodun Funke Omobonike who scored two votes.
” Badmus Soliu Adebare, having scored the highest votes, is hereby declared winner of the primary election for the House of Representatives for Iseyin, Itwaiwaju, Kajola, Iwajowa Federal Constituency,” Adesiyan said.
A total of 180 delegates were accredited, 175 valid votes and five invalid votes were recorded during the primary election exercise held at Muslim Grammer School, Otu, in Itesiwaju local government.
Adebare thanked the delegates, including party chieftains, for their confidence and trust in him. He also promised to reach out to his co-contestants to join hands with him to win the federal constituency for the party in 2023.
