The newly appointed Local Council Development Area of Akinyele South, Hon. Kazeem Ahmed has hit the ground running in his council area with the commencement of grading of deplorable roads within his Akinyele South.
Days after his sworn in as Akinyele LCDA caretaker chairman, Hon. Kazeem has began to make the daily activities more easier for the residence of Akinyele South, started the gradings of long neglected major motorable roads, as 20 kilometers Aroro kole road to Demilokun added to graded roads.
Addressing the newsmen during the road grading inspection at Aroro Kole, Hon. Kazeem expressed his happiness over the quality of work being done by the men on site. He promised to give necessary supports to enable them to execute the job according to specifications also to enable them delivered the job as scheduled.
” These grading projects are being carried out to improve road connectivity, ease traffic flow, reduce travel time, enhance intermodal transportation services and safety of lives and property, also to prevent perennial flooding, enhance property value and socio-economic wellbeing of the people.”
” It highly regrettable that our roads are in bad situations, over the years the last government neglected our people, denied most part of the state accessible roads, especially we in Akinyele but thanks to the emergence of governor Seyi Makinde, we are now having government of the people.
Hon. Kazeem appealed to people of Akinyele South LCDA to bear with his administration, while efforts were being made to assuage their pains and bring permanent relief to them through construction of long lasting roads after major gradings.
” Governor Seyi Makinde had gave us the template, he told that, local government administration is the closest government to the grassroots, so our appointment as caretaker chairmen must be impactful. He said we are to contribute our meaningful quota to ensure that we move Oyo State forwards with him”
” This government will not relent, we will do whatever it is for us to do, so that we can preserve the sanctity of the state, of the city,” he added.
Hon. Kazeem also promised grading and rehabilitation of Gospel Makinde, Omilabu Keda, Idi Iroko, Bola Road, Olabusun and many other bad roads in his council soonest.
