Ido LG Chairman Revamps Council Earth-Moving Equipment For Use
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has repaired the faulty and abandoned low-bed truck belonging to the local government to serve the purpose it was bought.
Ido Local is one out of the 33 Local Governments and 35 LCDAs in the state that have some earth-moving equipment such as Tractors, Excavators cat, D6 Bulldozers, bed Trailers, and others.
The low bed truck owned by the Ido local government is used to carry earthmoving equipment like a bulldozer, excavator, roller, and others has been abandoned before the inception of the Hon. Sheriff’s administration for no justifiable reason.
Speaking while repairing the earth-moving equipment, the Chief of Staff to the council chairman, Hon. AbdulAzeez Yahaya, said that the purpose of the repair and servicing was to reinforce Hon. Adeojo’s stance on the need to create and sustain infrastructure in the council area.
” At least we will be able to cut costs with the repair. We used to hire the truck ( low bed ), to move all other earth-moving equipment anytime the local government wanted to use any of the equipment to the site, but now, we can use the hiring fee for other things.
” The repair will ease movement to site sites most especially now that dry season is approaching when the local government will open work on some of the projects which have been penciled down for attention,” Hon. Azeez said.
He said the council chairman is poised to make all the earth moving equipment to be in good condition for use, to be able to use to create access and maintain roads of many communities and farms, as well as able to use for grading, creating slopes, and cutting trenches and other incisions into the ground.
