Council Elections: Adeojo Gets Widows Support In Ido LG
Ido local government politics takes another twist when the Widows in the local government go spiritual to support the re-election bid of Hon. Sheriff Adeojo during their visitation to the chairman at the council secretariat.
The prayer session for the re-election of Hon. Sheriff Adeojo was led by the Oyo state widow coordinator, Ambassador Binta Adejoke Aminu, her vice Mrs Bolatito Oyelade, and other executives calling on God to put those contesting against Adeojo to shame.
The executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo in his welcome message said his joy knows no bounds with the impressive turnout of the widows to the local government.
The chairman pledged to follow the step of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde and his wife, Her Excellency, Engr. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde for their show of love to the wellbeing of the widows.
The council boss on behalf of the management of Ido supported the widows in Ido with the sum of five hundred thousand, the move which was supported by the party chairman, Alhaji Ayuba Akinsola with one hundred thousand naira while the councilors in Ido local government supported with fifty thousand naira.
The chairman equally promised that his administration would consider the interest of the widows in any of the local empowerment programs.
In his remarks, the PDP party chairman, Hon. Ayuba Akinsola commended the widows in Ido for their steadfastness and called on them not to forget the injuries afflicted on the citizenry by the opposition party with the skyrocketed prices of food items and other means of livelihood as reasons not to vote for them come April 27.
