Christmas: Repete Doles Out Cash, Other Gifts To Needy
A member of All Progressives Congress in Ibadan North local government area of Oyo state, Engr. Khalil Mustapha Repete has offered Christmas greetings, particularly to Christians as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ the world over.
The Ibadan-born politician, Repete who is a leading aspirant for Ibadan North federal constituency bye-election in his kind gesture, doled out Christmas gifts of cash and other items to his party members as well as to the residents of his federal constituency especially the needy to celebrate the Christmas season.
He stated that the primary aim of the Christmas gifts is to ease the hardships faced by those struggling to afford basic sustenance.
In a released message on Tuesday, through his media team, Repete wished the Christians a Merry Christmas and urged them to use the festive occasion to pray for Oyo state and Nigeria as a nation.
“Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Let us genuinely celebrate His birth by demonstrating love to people around us, especially the needy.
” I had tried in my little way of giving back to my people in the community; it is the festive period, and this is just a way to give back to the people”. Repete said.
While wishing the Christian faithful a merry Xmas and Oyo state residents a happy new year in advance, Repete acknowledged the All Progressives Congress and APC members in Oyo state for their resilience and steadfastness; the coming year will be a year of joy and laughter for all.
Repete however, urges well-meaning individuals to give to those who are less privileged to make this yuletide a memorable one for all.
