After Dismisses Suspension Rumour, Oyo Assembly Speaker, Ogundoyin Reconstitutes House Committees
Oyo Assembly Speaker, Debo Ogundoyin during the plenary session has reconstituted some of the 36 House Committee with immediate effect.
The decision was announced on the floor of the House during a Plenary sitting Today, Thursday, June 27th.
This is coming barely days after Westendailynews.com reported in the news that some lawmakers are likely to be suspended or removed from the juicy committee after their petition to the governor against the speaker of the House backfired.
Adebo Ogundoyin had earlier during the plenary dismissed rumors of plans by the State Legislature to suspend some members, he noted that suspending any member would only create a vacuum that would make the electorates and the constituents suffer.
He harped on the need for all members of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly to prioritize the needs of their constituents above any other personal interests but thereafter toward the end of the sittings announced the reshufflement of the House Committees.
While announcing the reshuffle, it was noticed that, only the alleged erring members were removed from chairman and vice chairman of House juicy committees.
After the adjournment of the sitting, our correspondent scooped from staff of the assembly that, the speaker only announced fews names at the plenary but it reshuffle will affect all the Lawmakers who names appeared on the petition, including those who do not signed.
Contrary to Westendailynews.com report that, the alleged erring lawmakers were 11, it has been confirmed with document at hand that, the tagged lawmakers were 17 in total with only three not signed the petition paper.
