Ibadan Northeast Re-elected Chairman, Akintayo Receives Certificate Of Return From OYSIEC
The Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, one of the winners in the recently conducted council poll in Oyo State, have been presented his Certificate of Return.
While making the presentation in Ibadan, on Friday, the Chairman of Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), Barr. Isiaka Olagunju, stated that Akintayo satisfied the provisional requirements of the commission, which secured him the victory at the poll.
Recall that candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) cleared all the council seats in the election conducted across the state.
Akintayo, while reacting to the development during a brief interview with journalists, noted that the victory of the PDP candidates in the council polls is a reflection of the people’s will, who voted in appreciation of the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration.
Akintayo thanked the governor for putting in place good leadership strides for the betterment of the people, adding that the governor has written his name in gold through the conduct of another free and fair local government election in the state.
The council boss, however, used the occasion to congratulate his colleagues and counterparts from different council areas.
“It’s a great honor to receive this Certificate of Return from OYSIEC today. I am deeply grateful to the people of Ibadan North East Local government area for their overwhelming support and trust in my leadership.
“This Certificate of Return belongs to all of us, and together we will take our council area to greater heights,” He stated.
