Following internal crisis that brewed out within Oyo State people’s Democratic Party in last few days, the State Executive Council, Ex-Officio Members and the 33 local government party chairmen on Tuesday afternoon at Molete, the state party secretariat passed a vote of confidence on the leadership governor Seyi Makinde after much delebration on the happenings within the party.
The state excos led by party chairman, Alh Kunmi Mustapha, expresses satisfaction with the exceptional leadership being provided by Seyi Makinde.
At the end of the meeting, the State Executive Committee of PDP which comprises the State Working Committee, the Ex-Officio Members and the 33 local government chapters Chairmen passed a vote of confidence on Governor Seyi Makinde and also urge the Governor to ignore the unnecessary ranting of the opposition in the state.
In his address, Oyo State PDP Chairman, Alh Kunmi Mustapha, described the composition of the State Elders Committee headed by Dr Saka Balogun as a right step in the right direction thereby emphasising that there is no crisis in Oyo State PDP but a storm in the teacup within a united family which some persons want blown out of the true realm.
It will be recalled that, some of the PDP leaders in the state accused governor Makinde to have pocketed the party structure and running a one man show in his administration.
Party leaders like, Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan, Dr. Saka Balogun had earlier went on air to speak on behalf of the party members who had assumed governor Makinde had sidelined the party and not taking care of the party members.
